    Giving back to the community has always been the part of this business I care about most. We are a Phoenix company. Our clients are Phoenix families, Phoenix contractors, Phoenix restaurants and Phoenix nonprofits. So when the chance came to back a program that shaped me personally, there was no debate in the room.

    Phoenix AZ Ad Agency is now a platinum sponsor of the Desert Vista High School Thunder Football program, and we designed and built the booster club's new website at dvhsfootball.com.

    Why this one is personal

    I graduated from Desert Vista in the class of 2000. I was a defensive starter on a team that won a state championship and finished the season with the sixth ranked defense in the country. That locker room taught me more about work, accountability and showing up for the guy next to you than any classroom ever did.

    Almost thirty years later, the same program is still doing that for a new group of kids. When the DV Thunder Football Booster Club, a parent-run 501(c)(3), needed a real home online, I could not pass up the chance to give back to my alma mater. We donated the build and stepped up at the platinum sponsorship level.

    What we built for the Thunder

    The booster club is run by volunteers who already spend their nights working concessions, hauling equipment and feeding a football team. The site had to do the heavy lifting for them. Here is what it does:

  1. Full 2026 schedule with kickoff times, opponents and locations so families can plan the season at a glance.
  2. Subscribable team calendar for games, practices, fundraisers and booster events, with one-click Add to Google plus a downloadable .ics feed for Apple and Outlook. Subscribe once and every phone in the house stays in sync.
  3. Online donations built for a 501(c)(3), including one-time gifts, recurring monthly giving at $10, $25 and $50, and targeted campaigns, with 100 percent of proceeds going back to the program.
  4. Ticketing and events so game nights, tailgates and booster events can be booked before kickoff instead of at the gate.
  5. Sponsorship center with every tier from $150 to $7,500, package perks, pricing, a why-sponsor breakdown and a live directory of current partners by tier.
  6. Program pages covering team history and mission, the 2026 coaching staff, and the roster.
  7. Stats and news so season numbers, player numbers and program updates live in one place instead of scattered across social posts.
  8. Photo gallery for the moments families actually want to keep.
  9. Incoming freshman hub for the Class of 2030, with registration, Aktivate clearance, InstaTeam, Fry's rewards, the freshman calendar and the meeting presentation all in one spot.
  10. Volunteer signups and concessions guidelines, because a booster club runs on people, not just money.
  11. Newsletter capture so the club owns its own audience list instead of renting it from an algorithm.
  12. Thunder Discount Card fundraiser page promoting the $25 cards packed with Ahwatukee and Phoenix area deals.
  13. Mobile-first, fast-loading design in the school's navy and gold, built to be readable in the stands on a phone with one bar.
  14. Local SEO and structured data for the team, the school and the nonprofit, so parents, alumni and sponsors searching for Desert Vista football actually find the booster club first.

    15. The whole thing is owned by the booster club. Their domain, their accounts, their content. That is how we hand off every project.
